    When making technical support inquiries, please include information on the following 7 items.
    * INMARSAT terminal name (manufacturer/model)
    * INMARSAT ID number (IMN)
    * Personal computer name (manufacturer/model)
    * Modem name (manufacturer/model) * Only in the case of INMARSAT A users.
    * Windows OS version
    * Internet browser version
    * Detailed description of problem

Modem is not responding.

1. Is the power to the modem on?
2. Is the setting for the telecommunications port (COM1, 2, etc.) correct?
3. Are you using the appropriate type of telecommunications cable (straight cable)?
4. Does the telecommunications speed of the INMARSAT MIU (Modem Interface Unit) port match that of the personal computer? (in the case of INMARSAT B)


Computer on the other end terminates the connection.

1. Is the signal send level of the modem sufficient? (in the case of INMARSAT A)
2. Is the compander "ON"?
3. Is the satellite reception level sufficient? Is there any blocking?
4. Is the setting of dial-up circuit set to "tone"?
5. Is the dial-up number entered correctly?


Connection is terminated due to a network authentication error.

1. Are the ID and/or password entered correctly?
2. Does the dial-up network setting indicate the usage of a protocol (e.g., NetBew,IPX, etc.) other than TCP/IP?


Unable to connect to the Web

1. Is the DNS server address entered correctly?
2. Is the proxy setting correct?


Unable to send mail via KDDI SatWeb-28.

1. Are the SMTP and POP server addresses entered correctly?
2. Is the DNS server address entered correctly?


Intended recipient is unable to read the mail.

1. Has the mail been sent in HTML format?
2. Is the encoding format setting correct?


Unable to receive mail

1. Is the POP server address entered correctly?
2. Is the DNS server address entered correctly?
3. Are the mail account and password entered correctly?


Doesn't KDDI provide e-mail service?

1. KDDI Network & Solutions, an affiliated company of KDDI, provides e-mail service.
